Robert M. Baginski, Ph.D., Associated Consultant

Bob Baginski, Director of Marketing and Communications at Monitor Group, is an executive marketing consultant who has pioneered business development for professional service firms throughout his 27-year career. An expert in the consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing marketplace, Mr. Baginski speaks and publishes frequently about marketing strategy, client and offering development, positioning and brand, thought leadership, ROI, and communications. Previously, Mr. Baginski was senior vice president at the Information Technology Services Marketing Association (ITSMA), where he managed client relationships and led consulting and professional development initiatives for global consulting firms.

He has led marketing and business development for some of the world's largest and most recognized professional service firms. Prior to joining ITSMA, Mr. Baginski was the senior vice president of Global Marketing and Communications for
Satyam, where he introduced a program to reposition Satyam from an Indian outsourcing provider to a global consulting, technology services, and outsourcing/BPO leader. At Accenture, he was the global director of integrated marketing for the company’s Business Consulting division. He also directed Accenture’s thought leadership marketing and credentials programs globally, and served on the company’s Marketing Management Committee and Business Consulting Leadership Team. During this period, Bob and his team achieved the #1 industry rank in Business Consulting overall--and 4 of 5 service lines--in brand awareness, consideration, and preference; created company-wide direct mail and permission-based e-marketing programs—both reaching 20,000 executives; and developed an innovative thought leadership marketing program that achieved the #1 rank globally.

Before joining Accenture, Bob was the partner/director of marketing for the CSC Consulting Group at Computer Sciences Corporation. There he helped achieve 25% revenue growth annually; taught the corporation’s market and client development process; led CSC’s flagship marketing event (CSC Exchange); was a founding member of the company’s Marketing Management Committee; and consulted with clients on marketing strategy and execution.

Prior to CSC, Bob built comprehensive marketing programs at four other organizations: Ernst & Whinney; Cleveland Consulting Associates; a global manufacturer; and a regional law firm.

He holds a B.A. in psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. in English from Shippensburg University, and a Ph.D. in English from Ohio University.
